Keynote Speaker: Imam John Starling
John Starling is a religious leader dedicated to preserving and reviving the intellectual and spiritual legacy of Islam. He is the founder of Hanbali Disciples, where he teaches, publishes, and mentors a new generation of English-speaking students in the Hanbali tradition.
An alumnus of NC State University and the Islamic University of Madinah, John holds master’s degrees in Islamic Studies and Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy and is currently pursuing a PhD in ‘Aqīdah (creed) with a focus on sulūk (spiritual wayfaring). His translations, teachings, and publications—spanning more than ten titles—have made the seminal works of great Muslim masters accessible to contemporary audiences.
Through his leadership at GCLEA in South Jersey and his educational and publishing initiatives, John seeks to bridge faith, intellect, and creative expression. His work empowers Muslims to build institutions, produce knowledge, and craft a living legacy—one rooted in revelation, enriched by tradition, and relevant to the world they create.
Keynote Speaker: Aishah Alam
Aishah is a Certified Integrative Somatic Practitioner dedicated to the journey of holistic healing and personal growth. With a professional foundation in Social Work from York College (NY) and a BA in Islamic Studies from Mishkah University, she brings a unique, multidisciplinary approach to her work.
As a coach, author, and the founder of Strange Inc., Aishah has built a creative home for Muslim artists and visionaries. She is passionate about cultivating spaces where creatives can use their art as a powerful medium for healing and transformation. Aishah is committed to guiding others to transform their life experiences into a lasting legacy and live a life that is authentically and spiritually aligned.
Keynote Speaker: Sanjay Subhag
Brother Sanjay became Muslim in 2017 and is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies at Mishkah University. He also studies the Hanbali maddhab traditionally with scholars overseas.
He has spoken and worked with various organizations including Yaqeen Institute, ICNA, and MAS. Brother Sanjay also has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and works in the IT field.
